This is the day that the final game of the Worldwide Hyperball League (WHL) is played. Hyperball is the only official sport in the wolrd and most people follow it. Because the hyperball season is 19 months long, the Hyperball World Championship only occurs every other year.

The World Championship match of the WHL is held in a different city each time it occurs and it draws thousands of spectators. The WHL used to sell tickets for this game as early as 2 years in advance (only a few days after the last world championship game ended) but when this happened, the tickets would sell out within a month and the people who bought these advanced tickets would be disheartened if their favorite teams weren't actually in the game. After a while, the WHL changed its policy and only sold tickets after the final teams had been determined.
