Quartz
Quartz is the most previlant mineral in Mendala and there are dozens of different types. Most types of quartz are resistant to adimus based abilities. It can hinder the affects of mentus and mandamus as well as block quickening (the most notable exception to this is traveler quartz). Because of this, people use various types of quartz to make weapons, armour, clothes, buildings, and protective walls for their cities.
Most quartz shares these attributes:
- A natural glow when in close proximity to another type of quartz
- A natural attraction to magnom quartz
- Can be used to create boulder quartz (the most basic form of quartz)
