Representative

(Type of Government)

A representative government is one where multiple people are voted into positions where they can then create and enforce laws. Representative governments come in many shapes and sizes. Representative governments usually have hierarchies and in many cases have one representative that is the leader, but no one person can make overriding policy change and laws. Usually there is a system of checks and balances and representatives have a fixed time in office.
