Born to Quicken

It could be said that Sharanel Quicksilver was born with a quickener's staff in her hand, and this wouldn't be too far from the truth. She comes from a long line of expert quickeners, both her mother and father were quickeners in the Fantasmal Staff, and Sharanel learned the craft when she was only 8-years-old, long before most are even able to even grasp mentus. When she finally reached the age where she could "official" start learning her adimus skills, Sharanel was put in an advanced quickening course under [Dr. James Landerpool], considered worldwide to be top in the field of quickening research and development.

Sharanel's quickener mastery earned her the job of Fantasmal Quickener right after she graduated from school. She is the youngest person to ever hold the position. Many thought this appointment was pure nepotism as the Quicksilver family were well known friends to the current Fantasma, but Sharanel proved herself within the first few weeks of her appointment when she successfully orchestrated the evacuation of Fantasmal Mountain during an unprecedented attack by [Davron], a mind mage who uncovered the Book Of War. After only being in her post for a few weeks, Sharanel faced some of the toughest circumstances of any Fantasmal Quickener and all doubts of her abilities were put to rest.

Family Tragedy

Almost all of Sharanel's family have been in service to the Fantasma.  This is partially because the Quicksilvers were close to the family of the man who became the Fantasma during their lifetime ([Darius Wavemore]). Though the Quicksilvers will all agree that being in service to the Fantasma is the highest of all callings, it also comes with a price at times.

Both of Sharanel's parents, Wilson an Marian, were killed in the evacuation of the experimental underwater colony, [Activon], when Sharanel was 8-years-old. After that, she went to live with her Aunt and Uncle, Caraletta and Marlington Quicksilver. Caraletta was a healer in the Fantasmal Staff, Marlington, a summoner. However both were killed in an attack on their hometown of Zohare by creatures from the Book Of War when Sharanel was 17. This was only weeks after she had become the Fantasmal Quickener.

Though her last close relatives were gone, Sharanel was not alone; family friends [Honsmordin Pornabus], and [Fantasma Darius Wavemore] became her stewards. Even though she was an adult, Sharanel was still young and the events involving the second opening of the Book of War were extremely traumatic.
