Special DatesThere are several special dates in the Edjourian Calendar, some are global like the Sunnin Solstice but most are specific to nations or cities. Special dates are divided into multiple categories: Sancder - A day celebrating a special spiritual event; considered a day of rest Sancdie - A day celebrating a special spiritual event; not considered a day of rest Instider - A culture-based event inspired by past customs or historical events; considered a day of rest Instidie - A culture-based event inspired by past customs or historical events; not considered a day of rest Ordaner - A government instituted special event; considered a day of rest Ordanie - A government instituted special event; not considered a day of rest Virder - A day celebrating a person or persons in Mendalian history, considered a day of rest Virdie - A day celebrating a person or persons in Mendalian history, not considered a day of rest When a special date is considered a day of rest, most governments, businesses, and schools are closed.
