Unocracy

A unocracy is a government of one person who is voted into office for a set period of time.  Unicrates usually have other political or government offices that help them rule and legislate, but these ancillary offices are not voted on by the people. Only the government leader is voted for. Unocracies always have a constitution or other overarching system of laws that prevent the leadership from becoming a dictator. This binding set of laws cannot be changed except by popular vote and there is usually some judiciary body that protects these laws, though it is not uncommon that these people are also put in office by the reigning unicrate.
